International Investment Forum "Strategy of Cooperation between Russia and the Member-states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation"

Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation with the support of Russia Muftis Council invite to participate at the International Investment Forum “Strategy of Cooperation between Russia and the Member-states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation”, which will be held in Moscow on May 15-16, 2012, at Hotel Radisson Royal Moscow.

International Investment Forum aims to focus on boosting investment and trade relations between Russia and OIC member countries, and to address the prospects and challenges toward achieving new levels of economic and investment cooperation. Special focus will be on increasing the inflow of direct investment into the private sectors of the Russian Federation and OIC countries, and on addressing the prospects of developing and introducing Islamic banking and financial tools into the Russian market as a viable model for boosting stable economic growth. The Forum will also deliberate on examining the experience of other countries that were successful in introducing Islamic banking and financial instruments into their national economies.

Prominent Russian and foreign politicians and business leaders as well as the representatives of international economic organizations are expected to participate at the conference.

Negotiations were held in mid-January between the representatives of the Analytical Center under the government of the Russian Federation, IDB Group and Economic Department of Russia Muftis Council on the Forum’s organizational issues.
